Lida Ramsey recently joined Sendroff & Baruch, LLP. With over six years’ experience in intellectual property law, Lida has handled complex transactions in the entertainment and media industry. She is particularly well-versed in helping songwriters reacquire the rights to musical compositions. Representing both music publishers and artists, she has negotiated and drafted agreements pertaining to the acquisition of music catalogs.

Lida began her career as a litigator. She has gone to trial multiple times, including before the Copyright Royalty Board in the rate-setting proceeding Web V. In her first year as an attorney, she second-chaired the direct examination of two key witnesses at a trade secret misappropriation jury trial, garnering not only a favorable jury verdict, but also Benchmark Litigation’s National Impact Case of the Year award.

Lida received a B.A. in English Literature and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. She is also a graduate from the William Esper Studio acting conservatory, giving her the unique vantage point of both the creative and business expertise behind theatrical productions. In her spare time, Lida enjoys storytelling in any form, whether that is telling the story herself or watching someone else’s story come to life.
