Jason Aylesworth organized and moderated a program called “Game Not Over: Protection of Free Speech in the Video Game Industry” presented at the EASL’s Fall CLE Program in New York City. Panelists included Gena A. Feist, Esq. (Vice President & Associate General Counsel for Take Two Interactive) and John F. Wirenius, Esq. (Author, First Amendment, First Principles: Verbal Acts and Freedom of Speech, and Deputy General Counsel to the Office of Collective Bargaining).
Jason Aylesworth spoke at New York Foundation for the Arts at the “Artist As Entrepreneur Boot Camp” on the topic of Contract Drafting and Negotiation Skills.
Jason Baruch and Carter Anne McGowan, along with fellow entertainment lawyer Mark Merriman, taught a survey course on “What You Need To Know About Theater Law.” The course, which addressed the legal aspects of theater producing, was part of the EASL day-long program entitled “Putting It Together: An Introduction to Entertainment Law Practice.”
Jason Baruch moderated an program for established practitioners at UBS entitled “Revisiting Form D: Theatrical Offerings and What You Need To Know” for the EASL section of the NYSBA addressing the current securities issues governing theatrical syndications. Speaking on the panel were securities attorney Gary Emmanuel and entertainment lawyer Mark Beigelman.
